    EXPIRED PRODUCTS!

I am compelled to do this here.

I order the attached products on the 21st of March 2024, and they were delivered on the 24th of march 2024. I trusted the brand so much that I did not check the expiry dates on each of the products delivered. On the 2nd of April, I wanted to use the AHA PHA BHA 32% feel peel and just decided to check the expiry date on it just for the sake of checking...alas the product has expired. I checked others and I saw that they sent two expired products and the rest are almost expired too! Shocking!

I immediately checked the refund/replacement policy online and sent an email to the care@beminimalist.co as directed. Till today, I have not gotten any response. I sent a message to the IG handler, who responded that I send proof, which I did. Till now, there's no response or feedback.

To think it is my first time patronizing your brand and then be hit with this dissapointing attitude is almost unbelievable.

    This is my review.

Gentle but effective for acne and dark marks

I have used this solution a few times now. The first time I did, I had a large cystic pimple on my cheekbone and several hormonal breakouts. This helped to reduce my inflammation, decrease the size of the breakouts, and clear them up faster. Since then, I’ve been using it to fade the redness and dark marks that were left once the breakouts cleared. It leaves my skin smoother, softer, and more even in color without irritation when used as directed.

    Good Peel

I’ve been using this peel for 6 months once a week and have notice a difference in my hyperpigmentation. My hyperpigmentation has lightened up and fine lines are less visible.

This is a tad stronger than the one from the ordinary. My skin was baby smooth for a week after using it. Says to use every two weeks but I’m on deck every 10 days. Great for acne but you have to build up. Start with every 14-15 days.

FAQs

The peeling solution contains three active ingredients - 25% alpha hydroxy acid (a blend of Glycolic acid, Lactic acid & Mandelic acid), 5% polyhydroxy acid (Gluconolactone), and 2% beta hydroxy acid (Salicylic acid). They all act as excellent exfoliants. Glycolic acid works on the skin's surface and breaks through the multiple layers of dead skin cells and helps in their effective shedding. It also fights the signs of sun damage and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. Salicylic acid penetrates deep into the pores and whisks out the skin debris and excess sebum trapped within them. Thus, it removes clogs. It also provides anti-microbial resistance to the skin and offers an overall treatment for mild acne. People with compromised skin and pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before adding Alpha Arbutin into their routine. For best results, use sunscreen SPF 30 or above every morning.

It is advised that the peeling solution should not be used on sensitive, abraded, broken, or compromised skin. The peeling solution is for unisex consumption. There is no specified starting age range for using chemical peels, however it's safe for people in their 20's to start using it. Teenagers should avoid using it or consult a dermatologist before doing so. The peeling solution should not be used during pregnancy because it contains salicylic acid, which may harm the applicant. In the case of breastfeeding women, it is better to have a word with your skincare specialist before proceeding with the product. This is an example of a response that you might give. It's good to be as thorough as possible in responses as that has a tendency to improve trust overall.

Chemical peels accelerate cell turn over, and some people might undergo a purging phase as soon as they start with the skincare acid routine. However, this shall subside in 2-3 weeks. If the purge lasts longer than 6 weeks, quit using the product, and consult a dermatologist. He/she may revise the frequency of application of the product or adjust the dosage. Or, suggest an alternative.
